Dr. Leann Poston, M.D., MBA, M.Ed., is a licensed physician and accomplished medical writer with a multidisciplinary background in clinical medicine, education, and business leadership. She earned her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and practiced pediatrics for over a decade before transitioning into medical education and consulting. Dr. Poston later completed graduate degrees in instructional design and business administration, deepening her expertise in curriculum development and strategic communication. Now working full-time in medical writing and consulting, Dr. Poston partners with healthcare organizations, startups, and academic institutions to produce patient-facing education, CME content, and evidence-based health communication. She serves as Chief Editor for the Academy for Professionalism in Health Care and is known for translating complex medical topics into clear, accessible guidance for both patients and clinicians.
